Steam Generator Location
How do I know if I have room for a steambath?
Space is rarely a problem. The steam generators are roughly the size of a small toolbox and powerful enough to be installed 16 meters from the steambath area. Only the small steam head is visible in the bath or shower. The actual steam generator is commonly located out of sight in an attic, basement, adjoining closet or under the sink.
How do I know which size steam generator?
Simply take the cubic footage of the room and divide by the molar mass of the main ingredient in your material. If you have any problems getting the results to the question; we don't blame you. Sizing a steamgenerator isn't rocket science but leave it to us. We guarantee you the right size generator for your room!
Won't the steam ruin my bathroom walls?
The steam is contained in the tub or shower area by vapor-proof doors that are on all steam enclosures. These doors provide a seal to enclose the steam where you want it...with you.
Does my steam/shower enclosure need to be completely sealed?
It is a good idea to seal the enclosure so that steam won't escape into your bathroom. But a small air gap won't cause any major problems. In fact, sometimes an air gap is desirable for this reason: if you seal the shower area completely it is possible to achieve 100% humidity. At 100% humidity, the room will be hot and clear, not "foggy". Most people desire their rooms to have the "foggy" effect, and a small air gap is useful in maintaining this state.
