Buying a Steam Unit
Adding a steam bath to your home is easy. All you need is three pieces of equipment from us, and an enclosure very similar to a regular shower.

What You Need From Us
  1. steam generator
  2. set of controls
  3. steam head
You can order these individually by clicking the links above. If you need help comparing the benefits of different generators, please call us for assistance. We are here to help you find the best tools for your job.

Or, you can order all of the specialized parts in a package to make your life even easier.

To be on the safe side, you should order these items one month before you are ready to build your steam bath. If you do not have one month, we can certainly rush your order to meet your deadline.

What You Need to Prepare Yourself

Pretend you are building an ordinary shower, but with some minor changes. If you are using a glass door, there should be no large opening over or under it. It is not necessary for the door to be air-tight, but it should mostly fill the door opening. You can order a custom door from Manhattan Doors based in Montreal or choose one of our 24"x72" or 24"x78" tempered glass doors.

After your generator arrives (or before) you or your plumber will need to plumb a cold water line, which can be copper... or even a garden hose. We can supply the proper fittings to make our generator work with whatever water source you have. Sometimes, we include fittings for ¾, ½, ¼ inches just to be safe.

He will then plumb a copper line from the steam generator to the steam head, which should be located 1 foot off the floor on one of the side walls. The steam head always points down for proper steam dispersion.

Your contractor will supply a 240 volt electric line. 120 volts can be used only for very small steam baths.

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions at any stage of building your steam bath.
